30 years since learning about Peak Oil and watching it coming as part of the Economy of Stupid.

We survived the 2020 derecho in Iowa (the highest wind recorded in the even was 1/2 mile away). Most trees that were over 30ft are either gone or snapped off.

This year, there were tornadoes nearby and the sirens again. I built a greenhouse last year and now, I'm surprised it is still up, but I did a LOT of added reinforcement. My plan is that when (not 'if') our house blows over, I will replace it with a monolithic dome or at least a dome of some kind.
