A good point. Unfortunately, we don't spend much time thinking how our 'desires' are actually conditioned habits by a system of competitive consumption. We could stop conditioning (advertising) people as sexual commodities for product placement purposes.
Overpopulation really isn't the problem, anyway. Consumptionism is. If people are useful to their place, then population takes care of itself.
