A little deeper down the 20th Century Republican rathole takes on their "anti-communism" schtick and "anti-terrorism". The "more McCarthy than McCarthy" Tricky Dick Nixon's blackmailing his way into politics (The Devil's Chessboard by Talbot), the use of secret money and drugs to undermine democracy, the fight against cooperatives and unions, various October Surprise schemes, etc etc etc.

They've been playing Allen Dulles' game since WWII, and it's always about making more loser cattle for the privileged to feed on. Free market competition for what, exactly?? They will never say and they bully anyone who asks.
