Absolutely agree with all you said. On individualism, I point to the blind belief in Competition which favors bullying and money-as-decider. I am first to admit that I have the privilege of property and security to be able to step back and complain about the system, as well as enough experience and age not to really care at this point (the invisibility of age). All anyone can do is work with whatever options they have, and hopefully choose the ones they understand and can control. We are fast approaching dependency on AI just to interact with networks and systems. At what failure point will we turn our focus to human intelligent participation in living instead of buying 'have-y-ness'. The underlying problem with the current state of tech dependency is in how the roductivity and quality of life gains are turned toward hoarded wealth, aggressive exploitation and environmental damage rather than "less is more".
