Americans will pay big money for anything they don't need and fight to the death to get the things they do need for pennies on the dollar from a corrupt corporation that tells them they are getting the best thing since beer* and that government should support tax cuts.

A farmers' market is the best place to see how messed up it is. Customers will pay 500 bucks for a bunch of rusty metal welded together, but haggle over paying 50 cents for a tomato.
