Anyone who has had to do useful government work knows that the ONLY way to get your job done is to bend or break the rules with someone else, in order to avoid the bureaucracy created by people trying to do two things: pretend to monitor government or actually strangle government.

In other words, the only useful work that gets done in government is done by conspiracy because the legal government is afraid of its own bureaucracy.

Instead of fixing the bureaucracy, we get anti-government and pro-government conspiracies to throw money at hiding even more broken bureaucracy behind incompetent appointees who don't know what bureaucracy is (management is supposed to be there to support workers, not the other way around).

A society based on hero (bully) worship ends up as defunct as the Roman Empire.
