All of the problems are not carbon problems, but they are consumptionism problems (a society based on buying a life instead of living one).

All of the factors of leadership and action are being decided at one point: the checkouts. That's where people need to see all of the costs of consumption and civilization itself as sales tax (isolation from the environment that spawned us). We also need to pay and educate people to be useful to their places and each other, instead of perpetually competing against Nature and neighbors. That means they need UBI, without any means testing.

You like the concept of entrepreneurship. So do I. I just want people to do useful things instead of useless things.

They can't know the difference if the costs to their future are hidden, deferred or lied about.
