As long as the US uses the income tax code as a crutch for imperialism, exploitation will continue. "Always Low Prices" means always exploiting places at the fastest rate for the most profits to the fewest people, paying the lowest wages and enslaving the highest number to subsistence wages with no alternatives.

The answer to almost every question ends up "UBI based on sales tax": people need to know the real costs at the decision point that enslaves them to trinkets and 'cheap' goods while they work for the rich and support the system with their labors. The system uses demand for cheap goods to justify colonialism. Individuals need to know the real price of buying things vs. making them or growing them.

Consumptionism is the religion where everyone lets money make every choice based on false prices.
