As long as we are distracted by carbon arguments (Carboments), we will fail to understand that the problem is all marketing: the coercion of people to be competitive consumers of resources, rather than contributors to their places.
If all of our money wasn't already dependent on fossil fuels, and we could actually just shut down the oil/coal companies and let people live on batteries and solar power, the marketers would just find new ways to get people to destroy the future for a profit.
