At some point, the roadway will be the power source. The chassis will be electric, regardless of power source. Making that jump (read about The Milwaukee Road train system) isn't hard to do, but it is hard to decide how to charge people for it.

When we think about how much activity people are doing that is only for the sake of converting energy and raw materials into money and cannon for the elites, we see how these 'magic' schemes (Nuclear, Mars, ethanol, vertical farms) are always just shiny, noisy crap that comes out of the vending machines of Marketing.

Cars are the dominant species. Humans are becoming irrelevant to civilization's System of systems, and if we don't focus on our own usefulness to places, our technologies will replace us. We already are 'robots' (consumers) as far as our 'leadership' is concerned.

Let's try not to make it worse.
