Confronting the polycrisis means confronting civilization, individualism, competition and monetary theory (Capitalism as religion, rather than sport). It means asking not "how do we save eople from x?", but "why save people in the first place?". The currency-worshiping economists have convinced us to reduce everything down to consumption vs resources on spreadsheets and blame overpopulation (shift blame to the poor or labor unions), but Nature asks humanity, "What are you contributing to your environment's future?"
Very few are left close enough to natural resources to see what Nature needs from us. The rest are working in advertising, counting money and avoiding response abilities.
