Corporate or not, your point is well made that people need to be focused and cooperative toward goals that are useful. Otherwise, it's just playtime. Playtime has its purpose, too, but mostly for learning, not goal seeking.

Far too many people have been conditioned to eschew bureaucracy and in doing so, have the mistaken belief that they can get away with not paying for the necessary function that it serves.
