Don’t forget the key point along the way, “The opposite of consumption is not frugality; it is generosity.”-Raj Patel

We are not here to enjoy the fruits of the Earth without putting more into it than we take. What have humans done for Earth (or their own future) lately? What is our net future usefulness to our place?

Humans have so many potential ways to contribute to the future of their places, yet we fanatically compete to be the first to the top of the pile of dead bodies extracting the life from our own grandchildren’s place.

Civilization itself is an evolutionary trap that we use to hide from our responsibilities to our natural environment. Our species has turned work into death and the imaginary activities of leisure into a chosen reality; most often not chosen by us.
