During the farm crisis of the '70s and '80s, economists said, "There are too many farmers. It isn't efficient."
Cheap food policy made a lot of expensive chemistry and cheap people : easily disposed of when economists get tired of them.
We have farmers (and robots) using fossil fuels to grow corn to feed cars.
There is no leadership at all when it comes to food policies. Everyone just places their bets and spins the wheel, trying to steal from the future for immediate profits.
The future has arrived, and it's very angry.
