Everyone takes civilization (city-based society)too seriously. If we step back, the normal is closer to a state of uncivilization, where most people are connected to the land with only a few surfing on the profits(prophets). The state of any animal isolated from its natural evolved circumstances is an unstable spike.

Civilized colonialism is anathema to the usefulness of humans to their places. Civilization can only work temporarily under extraction philosophy. Competitive fetishism (“Branding" for you marketers) isn’t the point of living; we’re supposed to believe in The Invisible Hand Job and other forms of senseless morality, but caring for our environment is considered “extremism".

Civilization itself is a cheat.
