For 30 years or so, I have had a background mantra in my head about money: "All dollars are petrodollars."

It doesn't matter whether someone is rich, poor or religious. It doesn't matter what greenwashed bullshit they are perpetuating. The vast majority of our food comes from farms and processing facilities that use oil to cheaply feed too many people who create bullshit jobs based on ways to waste petroleum, natural gas or land to dump waste; dug and filled by machines running on petroleum, by people living in houses using fossil fuels for heat and concrete.

Regardless of the Cryptobullshit, no form of money is worth anything unless people are moving and doing things to buy stuff. (Most states took the Obama "shovel-ready" money to build new highways and expand lanes for cars.)

Climate change is making everything more expensive even as it is just getting started. The government will print petrodollars on the promise that people in the future will dig and burn and waste exponentially more money/petroleum to move and make and reproduce perpetually toward nothing at all useful.

So, yeah, the rich are exponentially more at fault for every luxury they buy, and the government supports them at it, while all of the advertising and religious crap is either tax-deductible brainwashing or 'non'-profit that doesn't pay for the lies they spread.

Soon enough, we'll be eating them, even as they try to kill us off over the last potato rotting in the flooded ground: the only place that anyone's money should have been going in the first place.
