"Government now has everything it needs for good government; except good government." -Cai Lun, inventor of paper. (best guess on the quote attribute: I can't find it now and my memory is about as reliable as the government).

As government has shifted away from written letters and correspondence, I think corruption has become an industry in itself so that neither the content nor the behavior of people is even considered anymore.

Facts and reason have got nothing to do with it.

It's all marketing (theft of time and attention) that is sold to marketers for the sake of selling and marketing.

Just like the crappy antiques (or elitist 'Art') just move around from one antique seller to another, we now have the words of government being moved from place to place at the speed of light and money, with no demand for physical action and good behavior.

Ethics, shmethics.
