Great work. Thank you. Two points: Fur colors are often genetically associated with personality, if not intelligence, of mammals. Humans tend to intentionally select our 'prey' for stupidity (compliance and domestication); and humans were the first 'domesticated' animal. We are too biased and deluded to realize when advanced species (maize) and systems (civilization, automobiles, Facebook, sports, advertising) are selecting for ignorance or aggression.
From Nature’s ecological perspective, consciousness seems to be a bug, not a feature. Intelligence is a stepping stone to improvement and net future usefulness, but consciousness is best when limited (sales taxes and tigers..always my answer ;).
