Unfortunately, too many take the job too seriously when it comes to 'training' people (bullying isn't leadership), and too lightly when it comes to ensuring they have useful resources to work with (time, skills and raw materials).

America's addiction to competition is creating a blindness to cooperation and caring. The military provides cooperation by default, then thrusts people out into senseless competitive fanaticisms of mind-numbing, dollarized uselessness. When the advertising isn't enough, the pills do the rest.
