Blasphemer! ;) You've missed a key thread of the TV problem: Most real money is made by first making people dumb enough to buy stuff they don't need, then convincing them to buy more stuff to solve problems caused by the first stuff. Once you have a 'modern monetary system', everyone is too dumb and in debt to turn off the lights and go home. We need AIs to turn the lights on and off, so we have to hire engineers from India to design a computer war against the Chinese, where we get labor to make switches.
