How about we talk about the primary source of corruption in Washington. It's not the Chinese, the Russians or AIPAC: it's the income tax code.
Why was it so easy to not pay those taxes?
Why do we keep modifying a system that is, at it's heart, designed to peddle influence, consume the planet and bully citizens while stealing our time and labors every year for the sake of a few lazy legislators?
Every candidate is "compromised" from the start because they are so busy trading corporate tax favors that they forget we are consuming ourselves out of a planet on the premise of "progressiveness".
Everyone resents everyone else because the system favors competitive criminality. It's time for UBI and good health (not insurance) based on sales taxes.
Everyone needs to be paid to know what life costs, and we have to stop the competitive consumptionism.
