To me, the important bit is to put the entire cost of civilization's overhead costs at the point of purchase so that people are informed at the decision point as to the difference between buying a decaying life and staying home to create life. A society that pays them to do so (UBI) is antithetical to colonialist philosophy (the only thing we have).

I'm not holding my breath for humans to get smart soon enough to not die off. It's probably too late anyway at this point (see Richard Crim's charts).

As someone connected to the land and trying to grow food, as well as seeing the most advanced regenerative farms I work with struggle to stay above water/drought/disasters, it's my feeling that we're just pissing into the wind now.

I've been advocating for sales tax to replace the corruption of income tax for 30 years. I have yet to get more than a nod and a turned back to it.

The business of America is Business: screwing people, places and the future for money, while dumping toxic crap on schoolyards because it's "cheaper".
