Humanity keeps looking for answers in the wrong direction. Our economic systems reflect this backward thinking and civilization's separation of humans from the environment that spawned us. We think that our isolation from risks (city walls) was a good idea, and that the extraction process is the only way to survive (because that's the only way for civilization as we know it to work).

We have conditioned children to think of themselves as competitors who must fight for resources stolen from places (colonialism isn't just for governments) instead of being contributors to those places.

We have been conditioned to think that extractive bullies are the same as leaders because they have more power or wealth than 'followers' and contributors.

Humanity is going extinct because it doesn't contribute to its places.
