I agree that the Avatar is representing the tooth and claw mean Mean. The problem is that 'center' is the center of the set of most things in global mercantilism. The ubiquitousness of the avatar is "brought to you by" the 'votes' that are counted at cash registers and car dealers. Whether consumers are reading Consumer Reports or Guns and Ammo, they are all placing bets (liberalist income tax schemes like IRAs and 401ks) at the moral cesspool, working for money that spills out of it, and guaging their choices on the level of shit in the cesspool called "The Economy."

The only distinguishing ideology is whether someone is lounging in it or trying to get away from it. While bodies are starting to bake in this world effluent called "consumerism", they continue to compete for the inflatable lounge chairs. Nobody is really trying to put a stop to the flow of dirty money because they just cannot acknowledge the first principle: it's all dirty.
