I can never stop seeing DeLancey as a bumbling nerd psych patient from Days of Our Lives….infatuated with Marlena the psychiatrist…not a little of which comes out in Voyager “The Q and the Grey”.

I think there’s a lot to be said for the first episode with the Borg. As much as the “humanity on trial” concept, I think we should pay attention to the “you really don’t know what the hell you’re doing” concept. God suffers madmen and fools…etc etc. Data ex machina, Seven ex machina, Wesley ex machina, Q ex machina, T’Pol ex machina; it seems to be a recurring theme to pull someone’s ass out of a fire. Scotty might have been a mirrracle worrrkar, but he was at least human.
