I can’t offer much to ease your anxiety about US circumstances, but this is unfair to most of the people who simply are brainwashed by the “news" advertising products (left and right). Would you say the same about any religious faction before speaking to them?

I think Trump is an emergent phenomenon of failing colonialism, and there are a lot of people trying to make sense of collapsing complexity, but the blind belief in Trump is not counteracted by blind belief in humanity or liberalism, either.

There’s entirely too much competitive blindness going around, and it’s making a few bullies very rich selling guns, drugs, cars and 'infrastructure' for economic systems based on competitive extraction/consumptionism.
