I don't think we need more research. We just need to look around and accept that we have a system built on the competitive devaluation of humans to their places and each other, as well as the popularity of Spectacle As Final Merit.

Competition paints the targets. Resentment pulls the trigger.

Competitive losing is no way to run a society.

Capitalism/colonialism has put everyone in an arena, then dumped trainloads of weapons in the mix and turned on the TV cameras financed by the advertising/education that decides what is newstainment.

Varying levels of bullying and resentment are fed and watered with sugar, drugs and sex until all of the animals are foaming at the mouth (the system's most profitable state).

Our so-called "intellectuals" and "leaders" feed daily on the trickle-down manna from the 1% ownership class, churning out the word salads that keep it all going.

They are always coming up with new weapons, new drugs, new clothes, new toys, new advertisements, new cars, new excuses for the powered to be corrupt, then looking for 'reasons' that the proles are shooting each other on TV.
