I guess I don't really mind the bias when I know about it. I just really dislike the incompetence and incompleteness that is fostered by the quick bucks of sensationalism, nationalism and promotional "interest" stories that are only meant to increase competition or consumptionism under the pretense of 'news' when they are really just advertising.
For every story in National Geographic about Nature and risks to civilization, there's an opposing full page ad for a ginormous car or SUV or a Rolex.
We're not supposed to criticise rich people spending their own money, but every dollar is Big Oil's money, not ours.
