I guess I'm in the third faction: I think the sky falling is the upside, and it has been cheering me up. We live in a capitalist world based on people wasting resources to do things nobody needs done and the resources our grandchildren need are suffering for it.

The more the 'sky falls', the better the future looks for some of our grandchildren to be useful to their place in the universe.
