I know you brought up the fossil fuel subsidies, but we should not neglect mentioning the corruption that creates and maintains those subsidiaries.

Not to forget the need for UBI to support people enough to let go of all the supporting casts of fossil fuels (gas stations, car dealers, hyper redundant parts suppliers, oil change franchises, noise....). The step to electric vehicles is a baby step away from our subservience to fossil fuel and egocar dependencies, complexity and corruption.
