I like your enthusiasm. Whether or not the range/battery problem is conquered, I think all vehicles will have electric drive motors and eliminate 2/3 of the drivetrain parts anyway. It’s one step closer to a universal platform. Then swappable batteries/fuel cell/IC modules take care of the rest.
Why do we tolerate proprietary junk at this point in progress anyway? It’s like religion: if everyone tells you they have the 'best answer’, then they probably have essentially the same thing to sell.
