"What does modernity mean to you?"
I have to step back and ask the Wendell Berry question first, "What are people for?" He leaned in on love, God and the land. I just stick with "intention" and "Nature". Change 2 letters, and "nature" is "future". "Be the change" can literally mean that Intentionality itself is what Nature needed when it allowed our oversized heads to develop a model of our environment and the ability to imagine it being different.
How do we see different future environments (Natural and the artificial ones), and what means of individual and cooperative actions are we taking to make progress for both?
Example: Less consumption of Nature isn't progress for Nature, it's just slower regression for humans unless the extrapolation leads to generosity instead of consumption.
