I remember a night in 1984 or so, having this same conversation during a game of Quarters(drinking game).

The thing is, whether feared or not, death (life end) is useful as the tradeoff that accelerates sexual reproduction based evolution. (Immortal species wouldn’t change to adapt to changing environments).

So yeah, death happens but…SEX!

Ergo, sex-based marketing makes us fear death more and kills us faster (search webMD for “fatigue”)…because fear and sex are more profitable than reason and logic.
