I think the first step is accepting that human civilization is insane (suicidal in its physical environment:consuming more than it contributes): then evaluating whether we are more or less mentally healthy than the system trying to make us (and its own world) unhealthy.

That system (the mean Mean) wants us to believe that if we question it, there is something wrong with us. Skepticism is never really wrong.

Evil: an action taken based on an unquestioned belief.

Human: a primate that builds a model of its universe inside its brain, and upon physical maturity, moves a model of its self inside that model; avoiding reality at all costs.

Life is moving matter. Motion is life.
