I used to work on F14 fighters in the Navy. Now I convert tractors to electric drives for organic farmers. One single flight of an F14 burned 16,000 lbs of jet fuel (basically diesel). At the time, it was enough to run my father’s farm for 2 years.

The consumerism that drives thousands of airplane flights every day is blind to its demands and damages. Democrats won’t adopt sales taxes because they are “regressive”. Republicans won’t stop promoting blind growth because that’s the god of the stock market.
