I wonder if we are trying to define something we don't need to. Imagine for a moment that we somehow didn't know about gravity (if we were crystalline entities inside a planet, existing only in the charge/EM realm). Would gravity appear as weak noise in the background? Would it become a deity that we credit for the action of keeping order (peventing waveform collapse)? Is there a net useful component that determines stable matter vs background? At what cost?

Back in our macro synergistic picture, can the collective action of all stable collapsed wavefunctions holding their place against randomness actually require a field-based influx that manifests as gravity

(a liquid field)? Is this influx actually subsisting on a fundamental electromagnetic spacetime? If so, does the ratio between those dimensions (space vs time) yield a constant similar to the ratio in strength between gravity and magnetism?
