If anything, the #9 is the most important, because it reflects the apathy of everyone else. If the Obama presidency taught us anything, it’s that an intelligent and compassionate first family can’t fix all of the stupid in our system. That will a cooperation we haven’t had since WWII, which had a charismatic leader and a public just recovering from desperate times. Thanks to those times and the systems put in place, we really haven’t had either for a long time. The world of the future has to learn to change without dramatic catastrophe or insane threats. That’s new territory for humanity. Civilians need to learn to care for civilization instead of consuming it and letting barbarians build the next one over and over. Real change is even harder than most civilized people can imagine.
