I submitted that the Earth has billions of useless employees that are paid a living, yet it receives no quid pro quo work for it.
It doesn’t have to be this way, and if it wasn’t, there would be no question that the value of a person is unlimited. As long as anthropocentric value (money or imaginary beings) is the rule, human life is indeterminate.
Our grandchildren need a livable planet. They don’t need belief systems or money.
