In the context of your article, is there a distinction between hatred and resentment? I think that many of the issues are systemic and economic resentments fanned by Trump, and the conversations in media use the word "hate" (ie "hate crimes") too often to generalize vitriol when we would be more effective if people could focus on the specific condition or items that make them resentful and/or angry/jealous.
