Ironically, the purpose of the first English dictionary was to increase the use of uncommon words, allowing people of a wider class range to read and write more usefully. I guess it’s only par for the high speed world of useless automata enabling consumptionism to thrive(as opposed to consumerism that was depending on people to make choices).
