It sounds great. Except my farm property is in an Iowa cell-hole, and they're not going to fix that. Neither is anyone going to spend money to put a cell tower near my parents' farm in Michigan so that 25 people in the surrounding area will have broadband (or any band, for that matter).

Perhaps we should spend 42 billion dollars figuring out how to connect people in communities and meet their needs and the actual needs of a place without technology that only promises to keep sucking life out of the land on a subscription model that includes theft of time, attention and children (advertising). How does this plan benefit the soil that people are standing on? Stand your ground: turn off the addictive phone and plant a tree.
