It's about the courage to show up, even in places that are uncomfortable and dangerous. It's about having the talks and not just throwing rocks from behind a wall of pundit guns. Whether Americans are sensible (right or left) rather than rabid consumers is a different problem that advertisers will pay billions to keep us from finding out.
