It's getting repetitive, but I have to say it again: all decisions in a capitalist system are made at the purchase point. People need to know the real costs of the things they buy so they make informed decisions. All politics pivot on "always low prices", yet "progressives" cry "sales taxes are regressive!".
The younger generations need to embrace the concept of UBI based on sales taxes. Sales tax without UBI is regressive. UBI without sales tax is inflationary. The income tax code is corrupt and coercive: punishing people for being productive individuals while rewarding them for overconsumption (mortgage deductions, corporate tax deductions for advertising and 'creating jobs', etc.). Everyone needs to know the real cost of consumption at the decision point, every day.
