I've been trying to put my finger on what is really the defining issue with the candidates that make it to the presidential tournament. In other words, what do the DNC and GOP actually select for in a candidate since Nixon won in 1968. I think I might have it now that the internet became so ubiquitous.

The RNC (and too much of the US Empire) picks the proudest asshole available(civilized domesticants don't know the difference between a leader and a bully). The DNC picks either the most capitalist/authoritarian (playing the "more Republican than Republicans" card..ahem, Hillary) or they pick the candidate who is least known (least vulnerable to corporate slogan attacks). The short timeframe for Kamala may be an advantage for a short time until something like a real platform can be proven (I suggest Liz Warren's CFPB as a start), and/or natural disasters put half the country in FEMA trailers.

Meanwhile, someone needs to really fess up about our Israeli lobbying crack and how it has affected policy for all administrations, and stop letting the media create imagined straw man policy arguments. Truth needs to be on the table, face up.

Same applies to the income tax code. Stop saying it's "progressive" when every citizen lives in terror of the IRS and April 15th. That's not progress from feudalism's Brute Squad.

Fight the secrets and obfuscation. Question everything. Demand answers, not boilerplate letters and sound bites.

Stop the Stupid.

Stop naming buildings after rich assholes.

Maybe that's the key: don't vote for anyone who has their name on a building.
