My wife recently retired from her lifelong career as a productive 'good' girl employee. I don't think that she really can accept how many million dollars more she should have been paid for the work she did for large corporations full of idiot managers (male and female). Being "midwest nice", she would never have thought about suing them for discrimination, but should have.
Whether or not you make a fuss now is your decision. My point, though, is that if you continue the Good Girl attitude, it will cost you a LOT of money that someone else doesn't deserve to be paid in the first place, and you probably do.
Rules are rules, and the law is the law. This economy can't go on forever, and nobody is going to be comfy and stable in the near future.
Consumerism is insane and so is almost every corporation.
It's not just you.
