Nature's basic system is one where adapting to environments via evolution appears competitive. Random mutation allowed humans to develop an oversized ability to compete by predicting the future. Clever humans built walls to isolate us from the risks and responsibilities of Nature. That left civilians (city-based society) to compete with each other inside artificial environments. Most of the 'worst' people would quickly die in a natural environment. Instead, they have developed ways to manipulate people inside artificial worlds and ignore the muthafucker that is building up outside civilization's walls until all of civilization gets destroyed, either from outside (climate change) or inside (competition). This point in time is the test of humanity's Intentionality: our ability to think ahead. Competition advocates want everyone to live "in the Now" and "Be Happy" with their products and 'leadership' which is actually just bullying.

Civilized humans have evolved to not know the difference.

Mother Nature doesn't give a shit about our species unless we contribute more than we take. Perpetual takers are expendable. Efficiency experts will build the straightest road to Hell, and financiers will compete for the loans.
