m the Bezoses, fro…abour share fueling investment rates too low to save the planet or raise living standards ever again is this: capital has to be redistributed from where it sits, idle, pointless, useless, now. In those offshore bank accounts, from the Bezoses, from the market cap of Uber, from the hedge fund…
Off the mark, Umair. The real problem is that the capital left the ground and the labor in the first place. Extraction economics is still extraction, even if it is redistributed, it is sucking the planet dry. Your anthropochristianism is showing. Everything in our modern language hinges on the extraction model of people stealing the planet’s supplies and not putting our creative labors back into stabilizing the soils, waters and air that our grandchildren need. Our system is based on trinkets made for no purpose at all in order to entertain and enrich people who are useless to the planet.
It won’t be reversed, so the answer to your title question is “yes”.
