Only in the sense that Change is one form of conflict. Unfortunately, most of humanity thinks that Change must be violent and combative (I used to, as well). It's a failure of our philosophers, educators, leaders and religions that is going to cost us a whole planet. Elections and schools were supposedly invented to allow change and improvement without violence.

We think that art is better from conflict, starvation and abuse, but that's only because it reflects the normalized conflict and abuse that doesn't need to exist. So many people go into the arts to express their frustrations because we have societies that profit from frustrating people.

Prophets and profits are generated and maintained out of keeping people fighting each other, especially when those profits are unfairly distributed.

Keeping people at each other's throats is the ages-old habit of nobility and colonialism. That's why the British are so good at making songs about it.

"You say you want a revolution...."

Well, you know...you're really just being another bully instea..a..a..d.

A bully uses their strength and advantages to exploit or coerce something from other people's weaknesses. I used to tell my boss that he should let me bring a 2x4 to staff meetings (I didn't really need one).

Civilized humans have evolved to not know the difference between leaders and bullies because bullies are profitable faster, and systems of bullying teach people to avoid conflicts out of fear of violence. Sure, it works in the heat of the moment, but in the long run, it's an expensive way to do stuff.

Can we understand Lindsey this way? Maybe. I think we can also see our civilizations reflected in his eyes and fists.
