An interesting terminology because the System of systems has little concern for intentional beings. It has myriad ways to ensure "participants" are merely parts of a machine that, like most of its output, is destined for a landfill. The extraction masters with the levers have no process for maintaining replaceable human parts. They've got plenty more human cattle being finished on cheap feed to fill the gaps.
