Power doesn't care. Speaking truth to power is a waste of time and energy.

The white protesters of Jan6 made themselves victims of a system that thrives by making fools of us all. It creates artificial differences and turns them into weapons. Everyone becomes a victim because victimization is profitable. It's just another form of Competition. Fewer and fewer winners and more and more losers: until everyone loses and some idiot in Florida has the only helicopter ride to the only hospital for the only doctor with the only pill.

Everyone else just gets turned into a mass of competing resentments. Cannibalistic rats driving to jobs to buy cars to drive to jobs to buy cars.

Competition paints the targets. Resentment pulls the trigger.

Marketing says, "We just sell the guns. It's not our fault."

Religion wants you to speak truth to God (the ultimate Power/Aristocrat) because that keeps you from speaking to each other.

Wall Street wants people to drive to Washington and march for a 'cause': they'll sell you a hotel suite and the gasoline to get there at $4 per 100 manhours of CO2 producing 'work'.

The oil companies want you to get into a fight with your neighbor over charging stations and comically oversized 'trucks' because if you're fighting, you both will forget that you don't need either if you just stay home and help each other grow food.

The real estate advertisers want cities and towns to believe that building houses on farmland is an 'opportunity', not suicide.

The weapon makers want government to believe we have to go to war to keep building houses and buying gasoline.

How did we ever get through the stone age? Oh yeah, we stoned the guy trying to sell us sharp rocks and then went back to work making our own sharp rocks.

Someone invented religion to tell us not to eat the salesmen who inevitably follow the priests. It was all just war and marketing after that.
